Bethesda showed off several games during their conference, including an extended look at Dishonored 2 from last year and a return to the launch title Prey from the Xbox 360.
The first game shown was Quake: Champions, the newest entry in the multiplayer arena shooter. There are unique character options this time and they come with their own abilities and powers. It will also run at 120 Hz. More on Quake: Champions will be announced at Quakecon in August.
After Quake Champions, Bethesda revealed a game called Elder Scrolls: Legends. It's a card-based game coming to mobile devices.
Updates were announced for both Fallout 4 and Fallout Shelter. Fallout 4 is getting new gadgets and items added to the creation/build mode of the game, including elevators and Vault parts. This update will be available on July 26th. Fallout Shelter is getting a combat system, new enemies, and new locations.
Elder Scrolls: Skyrim has been re-made for the current generation of consoles and systems, with updated lighting effects and graphics. Consoles will have access to the modding community this time around. Skyrim Special Edition comes out on October 28th.
Prey is making a return to gaming. It's not sure if Prey is a reboot or a sequel, but it takes place on a fictional space station that's been invaded by aliens. As a test subject, it's up to the player to push them back.
Doom is getting a bevy of updates. Snapmap is getting more assets and logic options to allow for more mission-styled levels. Two new multiplayer modes are coming in the future as well three free-for-all modes. The first paid DLC content includes a new map, gun, and demon unlocked with the demon rune.
The first level of Doom is now available as a demo for those who aren't sure whether they want it or not.
Elder Scrolls Online, Bethesda's MMO, is being released in Japan this year. Also this week a new expansion pack is arriving called the Dark Brotherhood. Later this fall, a feature called One Tamriel is being added that will override content barriers by levelling players to the same as their group.
Bethesda is putting both Doom and Fallout 4 into VR experiences with the HTC Vive.
Dishonored 2 had a trailer earlier but gameplay footage was shown at the end of the conference. New abilities were shown as well as the new city the game will mostly take place in. Players will be able to choose between Corvo or Emily in order to clear their names of murder charges.
That's it for Bethesda's conference! What did you think?
